Finished commissions

Hi Guys

A quick update for you, I have been very busy on the commission front and have finished two over the last two weeks, the first being the 44th Regiment of Foot from Latorre, the second is a Mongol Bust from PiliPili, I have to admit I did prefer painting the 44th, as this is a better quality figure, but both all in all were very satisfying to finish.

Sorry its been a while I have been busy with a lot of other things for El Greco Miniatures. But here is the latest figure that I have been painting this is a commission fro a Friend of mine in Austria, a great little piece from Latorre and a lovely one to paint. The figure is far from finished and should be ready before Euro Militaire.

I will put new figure as and when they come up as I wish to get on with some stuff of my own for Euro its self, so I have something to show. thanks for looking.

Knight of Alcántara

This is a test piece for me as I haven’t done much along these lines only one or two pieces. 54mm Pegaso, depicting the Order of Alcántara, A Spanish order of knights under the order of the Knights of Calatrava. Now I am prepared to take some stick and guidance on this as the information on this order is pretty sketchy, even though the order of Calatrava still kind of exists today. The figure its self has really stood up to the test of time and is still one of the best sellers for Pegaso, says a lot for the sculpting of Pietro Balloni I look forward to the comments

Hi Guys, here is the latest edition to my collection, a Boer from the Boer War 1899-1902, The Bitter Ender. Its a bust produced by El Greco Miniatures, Sculpted by the talented hands of Mr Carl Reid. I have included a few pictures of the master and of the painting I have done for the Box Art, I hope you like it.

Hi, Here is the latest figure to my collection that I have been working on, its a pegaso 75mm 71st Highland light Infantry regiment. I still have a few things to do  on the figure all the gold and a final detail run to clean up some small bits but not much. This is one of the nicest looking figures of the period, although quite a straight up and down pose is quite eye grabbing.....

The Fall of Erquhart Castle

Hi Guys

Here is the almost finished Highlander, just a little bit of touching up and a little snow on the ground, The Tartan is based on a piece of Tartan found in Falkirk from about the correct time period, but it is not Clan Specific, as with most of the Tartans. I have placed the figure on a grassy hill and he is based at the time of the British taking Erquhart Castle in 1296, before the Battle of Falkirk. Let me know what you think.

Here you go a little update on this piece, I have added a texture to the Kilt/Cloak/Bedroll with spraymount spray glue and white enamel over the top, I still have a load of work to do, but have started painting it now.

Hi Guys, well this is my latest project, based on the Pegaso 75mm Highlander, I decided from the start that he was wearing decidedly too little clothing for a highlander, considering the weather up there, so I have given him a leather jerkin/shirt under his tartan bed roll/kilt, let me know what you think.
