About Me

Dave Maddox: I have been modelling since I could hold a tube of glue, from small scale AFV’s to large scale radio controlled aircraft. I got into building cars in my mid twenties, but modeling was never far away. Then one day in 1999, I went into a model shop, I came out with a copy of Military Modelling, in fact the Euro Special. Soon I joined Welling Model Club, where I have met some of the most genuine modeller’s in the hobby, one of those was Roy Hunt. Roy helped me from the first club night I attended. I have improved over the last few years, with help from members of the club and especially Roy. I received my very first medal from Euro Militaire, a Highly Commended in 2005. From that moment I have enjoyed the process of improving this art form. My best achievement was being the recipient of a Silver Medal from the World Expo 2008 in Gerona.
